The study examines the relevance and necessity of training future speech therapy teachers to use information and communication technologies in their professional activities. This issue is analyzed in the special and methodological psychological and pedagogical Russian-language and foreign literature, as well as in the regulatory framework. Five key components of training future speech therapy teachers to use information and communication technologies in their professional activities were identified. Within the framework of this study, the motivational component is defined and characterized, which reflects the formation of professional value orientations, positions, attitudes, interests, and personal needs in future speech therapy teachers. This component is designed to encourage future speech therapy teachers to carry out their professional activities with the use of information and communication technologies. The second identified personal component involves the formation of the ability to apply information and communication technologies in speech therapy work. Next, the information-theoretical component reflects the technical knowledge of information and communication technologies, including in the process of speech therapy. The fourth component is the activity component, which determines the effective use of existing software tools in the correctional and developmental process and the development of the teacher’s own software tools. It is noted that this component involves the formation of skills and abilities of self-education in the use of information and communication technologies, since the intensity of the production of innovative technologies in the world implies an independent replenishment of knowledge in this field by a specialist. There is also a reflexive component — the fifth one, which reflects the ability to analyze oneself as a subject of pedagogical and speech therapy activities, to analyze and evaluate one’s qualifications in the field of using information and communication technologies in professional activities, as well as to realize one’s potential in this direction.
