The article contains an analysis of the search for artistic relationships and the motivation of the future music teacher to create the artistic context of the work being performed. The concepts of “interpretation”, “artistic context” and “motivation” are revealed, which constitute the totality of performing activities in the field of music and pedagogical education. The article examines the motivational and emotional-volitional spheres from the point of view of the formation of a graduate’s readiness to independently improve their professional abilities and stimulate motivation for musical performance. The specific features of choral performance are revealed and the components of the cultural and educational environment of the university as a pedagogically self-organizing system are considered. In the study, we relied on ontological and culturological approaches to understanding the way of existence of a musical work and the development of a future teacher-musician as an interpreter of the composer’s intentions. One of the issues in the field of musical performance has always been the interpretation of music, about which there has been controversy among musicians for several centuries. This problem was dealt with by both domestic and foreign music critics and musicologists, among them E. G. Gurenko, A. Corto, N. P. Korykhalova, M. Long, G. Shtukenschmidt, and others. The novelty and practical significance of the research lies in identifying the criteria for searching for artistic relationships and motivational readiness of the future musician-teacher to create the artistic context of the work being performed. In the course of the research, the author defines the task of the teacher in individual lessons with a music student in the class of choral conducting; their role in the student’s personal understanding of the work performed, since musical performance is a creative process that exists in two projections — objective and subjective.
