The article is devoted to the current issue of digital transformation of the economy. In order to increase the competitiveness of the integration association, the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union have set a course for building a digital economy. As well as for completing the formation of the financial market, the key year for digital modernization is 2025 [1]. The main source of capitalization of the digital economy is the creation and use of digital data-driven platforms. Digital platforms, in the course of their operation, receive various personal data from users, which can be provided by the platform for direct participation in the commodity turnover. In most cases, consumers do not realize that they pay for free use of the platform with information about themselves, for example, when they report about their hobbies, preferences, and interests. All of this is a valuable asset in the current transformative society of digital goods and services [2]. In addition, digital platforms can operate simultaneously in several markets, therefore, the information they receive may also fall under the regulation of different national jurisdictions. Therefore, the protection of personal data by the competent authorities in an appropriate manner and the harmonization of the legal framework in this area is of paramount importance. As a result of the study, the author identifies similar and distinctive features of the legal regulation of the Union countries: a similar definition of personal data with some features in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan is formulated; organizational and technical protection measures are provided in a number of countries; all Member States except Kyrgyzstan have authorized supervisory bodies.
