MATHEMATICAL TRAINING AND ITS ROLE IN THE CONTEXT OF FORMING BUSINESS COMPETENCES OF FUTURE DOCTORS

Annotation:

Updating the federal state educational standards for higher education has set a number of complex tasks for medical universities associated with increasing the share of responsibility of the developers of educational programs for the quality of the formed competent profile of the graduate. During the study process it was revealed that there is an objective need for effective tools for forming competence profile of prospective health professionals in the context of the requirements of federal state educational standards for higher education of the latest generation, and insufficient substantiation of the role of mathematical training was noted, which is the meta-basis of the process in question. This article is devoted to substantiation of the place and role of mathematical training in forming competence profile of future doctors, in general, and in the context of forming business competences of future healthcare specialists, in particular. In the article the author considers the content of “business competence” concept and presents their vision of the reasons causing wide diversity of its contexts, characterizing the modern reality, in which humanitarian and technocratic approaches to assessment of social phenomena and processes are intertwined. The problems related with teaching mathematical disciplines in the medical faculties and universities are revealed, those issues are characterized by the multidimensional aspect, which, on the one hand, results from students low motivation to study these disciplines; on the other hand, is explained by insufficient integration of mathematical knowledge in core subjects. In the context of forming business competences of prospective doctors the role of mathematical training is disclosed, groups of method-oriented and methodology-oriented approaches and effective organization principles are allocated, and an alternative view on the content of disciplines focused on forming business competences of future specialists is proposed.
