The subject of the study touches upon a rather rare section of the education system, which has a positive attitude towards the formation of a person’s readiness for risk. With regard to the social group, the qualities of which are analyzed in the work, this ability for initiative and fearless activity is extremely important. In this case, the activity of police officers is implied. According to the author, the willingness to take risks will allow employees to develop general self-confidence, confidence in their own knowledge, skills and abilities to implement law enforcement activities. The purpose of the work is to identify the most effective methods of forming the readiness of young employees of the internal affairs bodies (hereinafter referred to as internal affairs officers) for risk as a condition for developing confidence in their own knowledge, skills and abilities. The hypothesis of the study is that the development of confidence in their own knowledge, skills and abilities among police officers will be effective if methods are applied to form their readiness for risky types of professional activity. When carrying out the scientific work, such research methods as analysis of scientific and theoretical literature, observation and experiment were used. The test of V. G. Romek was also applied. Results of the work and scientific contribution. Based on the results of the scientific work, methods are identified to form the readiness of young police officers for risk: self-correction, which consists in concentrating on the current tactical tasks of a police officer, abstracting from negative scenarios of the consequences of their behavior; occupational therapy that supports the method of self-correction. Conclusions. The use of methods for forming the readiness of young police officers for risk makes it possible to significantly increase their confidence in their own knowledge, skills and abilities. Limitations/directions for future research. When implementing the presented methods of forming risk readiness, it is extremely important to take into account the personal characteristics of young police officers. Before applying the methods, it is necessary to carefully analyze the personal files of employees in order to identify their propensity for nervous breakdowns. |
