In the process of development of society, in sports schools and training centers, the search continues for innovative areas of physical culture and sports activities designed to solve a whole range of socio-pedagogical tasks in the field of sports training of children and youth, in accordance with the designated tasks. There is a need to find effective approaches to training young athletes in show jumping. In the course of the research, scientific and program-methodical materials were analyzed, considering the issues of organizing the training process in equestrian sports, with a focus on training adolescents aged 12—14, as well as horse training. A corresponding pedagogical study and experiment were conducted. A corresponding author’s program has been developed for older teenagers studying at Olympic equestrian training centers. The process of sports training in the experimental group of trainees was based on the developed author’s program. Classes in the control group were carried out according to the traditional sports training program at the children’s sports school. The results obtained during the pedagogical experiment demonstrate the high efficiency of the author’s methodology. Children who were engaged in the experimental program showed a mathematically reliable increase in tests of motor and technical readiness in equestrian sports (show jumping). The conclusions presented in the paper indicate that in technical training, one of the most important values is the development of the trainees’ “horse sense” and riding style. A significant predominance of the indicators of the experimental group over the control group in the show jumping is revealed, which proves the effectiveness of the developed author’s methodology. Practical recommendations set accents in the work to improve the training of young riders in show jumping. |
