IMPACT OF INDUSTRIAL PARKS ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF REGIONS

Modern state policy predetermines necessity of pursuing sustainable development of the regions. Lately, this trend is shown in the creation and development of production infrastructure to ensure the best results of sustainable development indicators. The formation of industrial parks as drivers of economic growth contributes to the creation of an integral production system within the region, aimed at both the formation of economic security of the region and the acceleration of its development. In order to assess the role of industrial parks in achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) at the regional level, the article correlates the objectives of SDGs and the contribution of industrial parks to their achievement. Based on the review of the theoretical provisions of the sustainable development of the region and indicators for its assessment, the authors propose a system of indicators for assessing the sustainable development of the region with the allocation of economic, social and environmental aspects. The assessment of indicators for the development of industrial parks institution in the Russian Federation allows us to determine the trends of economic growth in the region with an increase of investment in industrial parks The results of the contribution of industrial parks to the development of the regional economy are correlated with their impact on the achievement of sustainable development goals. An important result of the presented study is the formation of conclusions based on the analysis of the positions of Russian regions — leaders in the number of industrial parks in accordance with the indicators of sustainable development. Among the indicators of ecological, economic and social components of sustainable regional development, the authors examine the ecological rating of regions, the volume of gross regional product per capita and the human development index calculated on the basis of official statistics.
