DEVELOPMENT OF GLOBAL COMPETENCES OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AS AN IMPORTANT CONDITION FOR PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF MODERN SPECIALISTS ABROAD

The article deals with the problems of formation and development of global competence among university students — one of the important components of functional literacy and an important condition for the professional training of a modern specialist. One of the important reasons for the formation of global competence among future specialists is that at present the practical application of knowledge, the practical implementation of the competence-based approach comes first, that is willingness to perform activities, which is reflected in the nature of education, its goals and content. Priority tasks of a modern specialist are: obtaining information, the ability to transform the acquired knowledge into innovative technologies, the skills of self-education and advanced training, the ability to work in a team, and adapt to change. The key task of vocational education is the personal development of the future specialist, which ensures professional universalism — the ability of a person to change the ways and areas of their activity. In the modern labor market, the most important qualities of a specialist are the skills of self-development and self-education, the ability to solve problems that arise in learning, in relationships between people, in professional life and in personal self-determination. The formation of global competences involves, first of all, the development and implementation of students’ critical thinking and an innovative, creative approach to solving practical tasks and problems both in the educational process at the university and in future professional activities. The article develops and presents the essence and retrospective analysis of the development of the concepts of “global competence” and “global competences”. The interrelation of global education and global competence, the influence of global competences on professional competence, the quality of professional education are considered.
