TRANSFORMATION OF THE SYSTEM OF ADDITIONAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION FOR TEACHERS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE NATIONAL PROJECT “EDUCATION”

Annotation:

The article considers problems of transformation of the modern system of additional vocational education for teachers in the context of the national project “Education”. As the authors note this system is undergoing significant changes. There is a transition to a new paradigm of additional vocational education, changes in the forms and methods of development and implementation of professional programs of additional vocational education, formation and development of a unified digital educational environment for additional vocational education. Constant improvement of the teacher’s skills, integrated in all spheres of the teacher’s life comes to the forefront. Additionally, the authors believe that the transformation of the system of additional vocational education is possible through the transformation of the teacher and his activity. It is noted that the solution of this problem is based on the formation of a new concept of additional vocational education — lifelong self-managed education and the development of the teacher`s meta-competence. At the same time it deserves to be noted that the self-management of the teacher in this context is considered as the ability, in accordance with the requirements of a rapidly changing world, to predict the development of their own teaching activities; to conduct an examination of their teaching activities; to analyze the introduction and use of new technologies and techniques in the educational process; to have communication skills and methodological literacy. This in turn gives us the opportunity to believe that the demand for innovation in the modern educational environment, the readiness for continuous improvement of pedagogical skills under the conditions of modernization of the education system is the core of the teacher’s meta-competence. In conclusion, the authors define meta-competence as an integrative personal quality of the teacher, allowing to predict the development of their own pedagogical activity taking into account the requirements of a changing world, to design their own individual educational trajectory, analyze the use of new technologies in the process of lifelong learning, be able to regulate their own cognitive activity, master self-control and self-organization.
