FEATURES OF USING THE DIGITAL RUBLE IN SMART CONTRACTS

The author explores the features of using the digital ruble in settlements when concluding transactions through a smart contract on the digital ruble platform, as well as the concept of the digital ruble published by the Bank of Russia. The author investigates the issue of secure connection to the digital ruble platform, which is provided through strict two-way authentication of the keys of the platform participants, which in turn are certified by the Certification Center of the Bank of Russia, through secure channels, using cryptographic information protection tools certified by the Federal Security Service of Russia. The author comes to the conclusion that the security of using the digital ruble as a means of payment in smart contracts is also confirmed by the payment marking system, which allows tracking any transfers and payments using the digital ruble. The author notes the positive impact of the payment marking system on civil legal relations, for example, on tracking payments on a targeted loan. The author reveals a scheme for using a smart contract to automate the execution of contracts on the example of a supply contract. The article also discusses the stages of implementation of the digital ruble platform, which will be carried out with the participation of a number of credit institutions, including such organizations as: Alfa-Bank, SBER, VTB, etc. The author additionally studies Bill no. 270838-8 “On amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation in connection with the introduction of the digital ruble”, which is being reviewed by the State Duma. The author reveals the positive aspects and prospects for concluding “traditional” contracts in the form of a smart contract and using the digital ruble as a means of payment.
