In the article, the authors aim to determine the possible directions for the adaptive development of pharmaceutical companies in Russia in the conditions of the sanctions economy. To achieve this goal, the methods of statistical data analysis, problem situation structuring, and strategic planning methods are used in the work. The results of the study are the clarification of terminology, it is indicated that adaptation can be viewed as a process of adapting an enterprise to changing external conditions, with the aim of ensuring the sustainability of the enterprise’s functioning in the long term and containing a system of organizational, economic and social regulators. The basis for the success and effectiveness of the adaptation process is a thorough study of both the external and internal environment, which requires proper information support. Based on the analysis of theoretical approaches and statistical data, it is concluded that the modern adaptive strategy of pharmaceutical companies in Russia should be based on the idea of import substitution, embodied in an appropriate strategy, supported by resource and financial support, as well as clarity in the very definition of the parameters of import dependence. To solve this problem, the authors propose to implement a set of measures that will allow attracting all available resources to its solution, create conditions for the phased implementation of this strategy, taking into account the fact that now it is necessary to identify segments in which import substitution is possible today or in the foreseeable future. The article defines specific indicators that characterize the level of import dependence, as well as describes the strategic directions for the adaptation of pharmaceutical companies to the current situation in terms of solving the identified problems. Using a specific example, the authors determine the level of import dependence in the segment of antitumor drugs; give recommendations on the implementation of strategies to overcome import dependence, taking into account the duration of the pharmaceutical research cycle, the cost of developing new drugs and producing generics. |
