The development of teacher competence as a goal-oriented attitude in the process of postgraduate training is an actual problem of modern pedagogical science and practice. The article analyzes the aspects of teacher competence as a target setting in postgraduate training, theoretical substantiation of the meaning of teacher competence is carried out, its components are defined, the existence of a single theoretical and methodological area uniting different approaches is found, and the components of teacher competence are defined. The diverse interpretation of professional competence of a teacher and the identified competences included in the general concept indicate the complexity of the structure of pedagogical activity, functions performed and diverse characteristics of the form of professional competence of a teacher. In the study teacher competence is considered as a part of the general competence of a person, the author includes the components of legal knowledge, legal beliefs and lawful behavior in the structure of teacher competence. Available ideas about professional competence of a teacher are generalized and theoretically substantiated. One of the main tasks of postgraduate training of a teacher is the development of his competence, because these elements are closely related to the general competence of personality. The dialectical unity of all structural components of teacher competence determines the main directions of postgraduate training, the level of teacher competence, specific skills and abilities. Postgraduate training provides an opportunity for teachers to expand their knowledge, develop professional skills and master new teaching methods. Improving teacher competence in teacher training contributes to improving teaching methods, adapting to new educational requirements and improving interaction with students. It is important to take into account that modern educational requirements are constantly changing, and teachers should constantly improve their knowledge and skills to successfully cope with the challenges of modern education. |
