In the modern era of rapid growth of knowledge in
the field of education, more and more attention is being paid to
the phenomenon of interdisciplinarity in teaching and upbringing. The article examines the value and significance of this
phenomenon from the point of view of the philosophy of education. The purpose of the study is to analyze the philosophical
aspects of the phenomenon of interdisciplinarity in teaching and
upbringing in higher education. The authors point to the philosophical basis of the phenomenon of interdisciplinarity, which includes three aspects of the
philosophy of education: holism, pragmatism and constructivism. Holism emphasizes the integrity and unity of knowledge,
pragmatism focuses on the applied value of knowledge, and
constructivism emphasizes the construction and development
of personality in a social and cultural environment. These
philosophical directions provide the theoretical basis for the
phenomenon of interdisciplinarity and the possibility of its use
in the practice of higher education.
The conducted research has shown that in the higher education system, the phenomenon of interdisciplinarity is mainly
used in the following forms: an interdisciplinary approach, the
principle of interdisciplinarity and an interdisciplinary teaching
method based on accepted concepts of the philosophy of education. The interdisciplinary approach in education should be considered as a new social phenomenon in educational activities;
interdisciplinary learning, connected by the study of several academic disciplines or parts of them simultaneously and as a methodology for organizing training in a new educational paradigm
in higher education on an interdisciplinary basis. When using the
phenomenon of interdisciplinarity, the boundaries between disciplines are not fixed, but they intersect and are interconnected,
forming a single whole, which forms the core of the methodology
of organizing training in a new educational paradigm in higher
education based on the principle of interdisciplinarity. |
