The article emphasizes the importance of preserving
and strengthening traditional Russian spiritual and moral values
as a counteraction to destructive ideology and ensuring Russia’s
national security. Particular attention among the values is paid
to a strong family as a micro-model of society and its sustainable
unit, which provides biological and social and cultural reproduction of mankind, spiritual recovery of society and strengthening
of the state. The article characterizes a number of problems of
the modern family as a social institution: the growing number of
divorces; the small number of children; the spread of the voluntary childfree ideology in society; and the phenomenon of social
orphanhood. In order to reduce these negative trends in society
and strengthen the family as a social institution, it is proposed to
use the educational potential of Christian teachings in the process of family education of younger schoolchildren. Its choice as
one of the means of solving the problem is based on the ideas and
positions of leading modern scientists and representatives of the
Church. It is emphasized that scientific and religious knowledge
not only do not contradict each other, but on the contrary, in synergy they significantly increase the effectiveness of the process of
family education of children and youth. The importance of expansion of the educator’s pedagogical consciousness and acceptance of the spirituality dimension (Sh. A. Amonashvili) in solving the tasks in this area of work with younger students is noted.
The ways of solving the indicated problem are offered: increase
of competence of primary education pedagogues on use of potential of Christian teachings in work with children and their parents; organization of work with parents [creation of parental community “Spiritual Revival of a Family” (area “Christian
Bases of Marriage and Family”)]; organization of work with
younger schoolchildren on formation of their ideas about a
strong family as a spiritual and moral value. |
