It is noted that the reviving popularity of combat sports and the emergence of their new types determine the need to find new approaches to organizing the training process of mass categories athletes. Attention is drawn to the fact that the traditionally organized training process, due to the predominance of the analytical approach to its organization and the dominance of reproductive methods of teaching technical and tactical actions, has reached its functional limit. In the current situation, based on the teachings of Immanuel Kant on a priori knowledge, the possibility of implementing the provisions of the psychological theory of activity, general theory of systems, fractal theory and the theory of problem-based learning into the practice of the educational and training process of mass martial artists is argued. Based on the provision on the multi-level organization of activity, the characterological feature of a competitive duel of martial artists is specified, which manifests itself in the need for the subject of competitive activity to independently search for means of its implementation, particularly in the form of the most rational technical actions arranged in a logically justified sequence, ensuring the achievement of a competitive result. In view of this, the need to implement problem-based teaching methods into the educational and training process of beginning martial artists is substantiated. Considered by the authors not as a contrast to traditional methods of teaching technical actions, but as a direct addition to them, they allow increasing the effectiveness of their technical and tactical training. In the context of the systems approach, the fractal theory of B. Mandelbrot and the provisions of the theory of activity about psychophysical functions as the minimum level of organization of activity, it is proposed that all areas of the educational and training process (physical, technical-tactical, psychological) be divided on the basis of “general and special”. It is noted that the updated six-component content of the training process will make it possible to purposefully select means for each of its areas. It is assumed that the implementation of the above will make it possible to obtain a synergistic effect, which will ensure an increase in the efficiency of the educational and training process of mass martial artists.
