The article examines the development of pathologies in Russian organizations. The purpose of the study is to determine the specifics of the state of organizational pathologies in Russian organizations, to identify the zone of dangerous influence of dysfunctions in the internal environment (using the example of organizations in the City of Taganrog). The object of the study is the organizational pathologies of Russian organizations. The subject is problem areas of the internal environment of an organization, determined by the matrix of organizational diagnostics of pathologies. The methodological basis of the study is a systematic approach, comparative analysis and sociological analysis. The methodology for analyzing the pathologies of an organization is based on the works of A. Prigozhin and Yu. Kupriyanov. The sociological survey was conducted in 2022 in Taganrog. The survey involved 150 experts from 12 non-profit and 15 commercial organizations. The probability of manifestation and the danger of influence of each of the pathologies in an organization were determined. As studies show, all pathologies manifest themselves in domestic organizations, but the level of their influence on the organization is not critical. Thus, the data show that the internal environment of the organizations under study can be considered “low-problem”, not posing a critical threat to efficiency and competitiveness. The most problematic pathologies are “Stagnation”, “Demotivating leadership style”, “Dominance of structure over function”, “Ignoring organizational order”, “Unmanageability”. The results of the study show that the main problems of Russian organizations are related to the management level (more precisely, the management decisions made). Organizational pathologies are reproduced within a certain social and managerial culture. Therefore, similar organizational pathologies are formed in Russian organizations (regardless of the regional and industry affiliation of the organization).
