Digital technologies provide educational institutions with reliable sources of visualization, while at the same time exposing primary school students to danger when on the Internet. This article examines the main digital technologies as visualization tools aimed at both developing safe behavior skills and effectively fulfilling three functions of education upbringing, developmental and teaching. From the point of view of an integrated approach, the authors examine the concepts of digital technology and of a visualization tool, assess the degree of safety of primary school students in the online environment. In the context of geopolitical instability, when digital technologies, being a familiar part of life, can act as a weapon for falsifying information, the main task of the teacher is to ensure the safety of children. Primary school students who are actively learning to use smartphones and the Internet need clear and accessible rules of safe behavior. Traditional teaching methods, such as lectures and discussions, often do not bring the desired results, since children find it difficult to perceive abstract concepts, but these same methods are a reliable basis for various forms of blended learning. Based on a comprehensive analysis of existing theoretical and methodological and applied literature, the article examines key problems and opportunities for the use of such interactive visualization tools at the primary school level as: electronic libraries, infographics, video lessons and cartoons, interactive whiteboards, interactive applications, educational social networks, mind maps, dashboards, simulators, online platforms, VR and AR technologies, web quests, web museums, yandex tables, dendrograms, presentations and digital schemes, «Data mining», creative projects. As results, characteristics and models for the use of each visualization tool are proposed. Further research on this topic may be directed at testing the effectiveness of a mixed form of visualization to provide better conditions for being in the online environment of primary school children.
