Annotation:

The concept of “competence” can be defined as the application of knowledge, skills and abilities of the discipline and creative abilities of the trainee in various situations of professional activity, while “competency” is the level of proficiency in general cultural and professional competences, reflecting the level of readiness to use knowledge, skills, skills and competences formed for effective work in a specific area. For a student who has mastered any level of competence, the assessment should not be limited to the reproduction of knowledge in the discipline. Thus, “competence” becomes a transformer of the structure of the main professional educational program (MPEP) and automatically makes its own adjustments to the formation of funds of assessment tools for each discipline included in the curriculum of the specialty/field of study. Thus, the emphasis is on the result of mastering the discipline within the framework of the MPEP. The competence-based assessment system allows you to change the student’s attitude to the assessment process, to more fully reveal his abilities, neutralizes the fear of a test / examination. It is clear that in addition to methodological and methodological support for the process of intermediate certification in the discipline, organizational and pedagogical conditions should be created as a set of external factors and internal capabilities that allow the student to most effectively reveal his abilities. For a more productive implementation of the interim assessment, it is necessary to provide for the availability and use of information and communication technologies, which will ensure the effectiveness of the use of assessment tools and a more visual assessment of the development of competencies. The article presents the characteristics of some interactive teaching methods and the results of their integration into the assessment system during the interim assessment in the discipline, which confirms the effectiveness of their application and the expediency of using a competence-based fund of assessment tools in higher mathematics.
