Conceptual and methodological bases of the organization of regional socio-economic systems from the point of view of transport process in supporting sustainable development of a region

The article presents the methodological approaches to the analysis of formation of regional socio-economic systems, and achievements based on the system approach to functioning of the regional transport system which is the catalyst for development of economy and social sphere. The author gives a detailed analysis of the semantics of the term “region” and other terms of the regional economy. The author discusses scientific position on structural analysis of economy of regions, the paradigm of regional development, basic factors of formation of a region at the organization of regional transport process. The author proves the necessity of increasing the role of the inter-branch and inter-regional integration, economic, technological and industrial communications with the use of the branch approach to the structurization of territorial the economic system of regional economy that demands rationally organized regional transport process considering the system of a social division of labor.
