INTERNATIONAL SPORT COMPETITIONS AS A FACTOR OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

| Annotation: | The scientific article made assessment of priority trends of financing of physical culture and sports, presented statistical data on financing the sport facilities and events, and examined peculiarities of financing of this area of activity. The authors analyzed promotion of mass sports in Russia. The problems and conflicts of the Olympic Games in Sochi, as well as other sport competitions were studied. Attendance of the Sochi Olympic park during the Olympic Games 2014 was analyzed. The reasons of low interest to the Russian internal sport competitions were determined. The number of problems constraining development of physical culture and sports in Russia was identified and the measures for their resolving were proposed. |
