Introduction to the Russian system of education of the tutor profession and consolidation at the legislative level of the position «tutor» actualize the problem of professional educational training of the specialist possessing technologies of implementation of the principle of individualization as one of the leading principles of arranging the process of education of the person at all age periods of his life. The implementation of a reflective search process of professional development for full implementation of their educational potential, choosing the path of personal and professional development, the ability to determine the boundaries of individual empowerment, self-determination and work with the processes of self-determination of the trainees, to identify their strengths and weaknesses in the development of the new — all this requires professional educational training of students-tutors in the field of development of mental competencies. In order to transfer different ways of self-education to trainees the tutor needs to develop the ability to analyze, reflect on his experience of self-education, and thus to master the different mental competencies that will be reflected on the results of tutor support and influence the professional and personal development. The article presents the author’s interpretation of the concept «mental competencies of tutor», reveals and analyzes the characteristics of critical thinking necessary for development of the students’ mental competencies: reflexivity, openness, independence, analytical, logical, constructive, and dialogic. The authors make an attempt of theoretical substantiation of methods and technologies of development of mental competencies in the process of professional educational training of students-tutors. For the purposeful and consistent development of students’ mental competencies, the authors propose to use in the classroom the problem-solving strategies, visual strategies and techniques, methods of development of the emotional sphere of students when working with the text, technological strategies of mutual learning. |
