The article reveals the technology of assessing the quality of the graduates of technical universities training in the educational program taking into account their educational and labor activity, as well as the qualifications of lecturers who teach them. It is shown that a preliminary assessment of the quality of mastering the educational program by the university graduates can be given after graduating the university, given that employers value two indicators of the higher school: its ability to give quality knowledge in the specialty (i.e. educational program) and readiness of the graduates to practical activity, i.e. the level of labor potential. Since the level of training of the university graduates depends mainly on the qualification of lecturers, we propose to determine the quality of knowledge of students in the direction or specialty of training based on the results of training of students and lecturers who conducted their classes and supervised the implementation of final qualifying works. The second important indicator of the quality of training of the graduates of technical university (or department) is their labor potential — the ability to practice in their specialty. The measure of the ability to apply knowledge in practice can be defined as a quantitative value consisting of several indicators, not only educational, but also labor activity. These are the results of research work, participation in sport, recreation, and cultural events, etc. The proposed complex technology will help to improve the objectivity of the assessment of the quality of training of the graduates of technical universities (departments). The results of this assessment will allow making changes in the arrangement of educational activities and in the content of training programs, as well as changing the content and the methods of professional development of teachers. In addition, the proposed technology for assessing the quality of training of the graduates may be used in the accreditation of the university. Based on the analysis, the Ministry of science and higher education assesses the ability of universities to provide quality of knowledge; determines their rating and forms a state order for training specialists at the educational institutions, which have high rates. |
