Nowadays corporate fraud is one of the significant factors affecting the decline business efficiency in the Russian Federation. There are more than a hundred companies suffering from fraudulent actions committed by employees every year in Russia. That is why the authors consider the necessity of paying special attention to measures for identifying corporate fraud aimed at the key figure of unlawful acts — the employee. It will help reduce the violations at the company’s level, as well as on a global scale in the future. Initially, the theoretical side of the issue has been studied, viz., the interpretation of the «corporate fraud» term and the designation of crimes classification. Methodological and information bases of scientific work have been normative and legal acts of the Russian Federation and materials under the authorship of international and Russian experts Donald R. Cressey, Edvin H. Sutherland, N. A. Lopashenko, A. G. Bezverkhov and O. A. Knyazhev. Further, the authors have identified the main motives for committing this kind of illegal actions. Furthermore, on the basis of the Russian practice analysis, the most significant reasons have been formed which interfere preventing productive counteracting of personnel’s illegal actions. The final part of the article presents the developed algorithms, based on indicators of illegal actions, for identifying specific corporate fraud forms. It is assumed that the internal services of the organization will suppress ulterior attempts of fraud facts through the detection of committed fraudulent acts. |
