Annotation:

Theoretical and economic views and teachings of scientists to competition are examined, which consist of two components: dialectic idealistic views that reveal the social aspect of the considered economic category and generate behavioral, value, etc. approaches to the analysis of the competition; and dialectic materialistic positionns that reveal the materialistic aspect of economic categories, creating functional, quality, etc. approaches to the analysis of the competition. In particular, there are two directions to understanding the competition generated by the Western school, represented by its largest representative M. Porter, and formed the patriotic school. Representatives of the patriotic school were R. A. Fathutdinov, G. L. Azoev, A. Yu. Judanov, E. Mazilkina and G. Panichkina, A. L. Denisova and T. M. Ulyakhin, Yu. B. Rubin. So Western School studies competition with dialectic idealistic positions involving consideration of competition as the behavior of an entity or as a socio-economic processes, where the essence of competition is revealed through the concept of competitive advantage. The domestic school studies competition with dialecticmaterialistic positions involving consideration of competition as the environment for market processes or as a socioeconomic phenomenon, where the essence of competition is revealed through the concept of competitiveness. Contribution of scientific researches and studying of competition establishing approaches to understanding competition allows considering and drawing up scientific theoretic-methodological basis of competition analysis. Modern views on competition serve as the beginning of scientism in formation of competition, which resulted in formation of the methodology of the scientific research of competition, and foremost as exchange processes and phenomena. Additionally, it becomes possible to consider the concept of development relative to competition, as well as methodology of development. This is, first and foremost, the concepts of synergistic and cyber development and principles of development, management and administration of competition.
