The article examines methodological problems arising in the process of teaching the disciplines “Country Studies of Russia”, “History of Russia” and “History of Russian culture” to foreign students. The authors, on the basis of practical experience of teaching foreign students from the Asian region at the State Institute of Russian language named after A. S. Pushkin, give methodological recommendations on application of the most effective techniques in the field of teaching the Russian language in cross-cultural and cultural aspects, “trace” the main directions of creative approaches, taking into account national specificities and incorporating them into educational practice. For foreigners coming to Russia, especially from the Asian region, the study of the history and culture of Russia is an important part of the process of learning Russian. Knowledge of cultural, historical and social aspects of the country of the studied language expands vocabulary, develops not only speech, but also communicative and intercultural competence. In the process of teaching these disciplines, not only language is formed but also intercultural and communicative competence. The aim of the article is development of methodical recommendations on training of foreign students in the disciplines of social-humanitarian cycle in the process of teaching the Russian language. The authors propose a number of methodological techniques that will improve the efficiency of the study of these disciplines. In addition, the article analyzes the psychological and national characteristics of foreign students, examines the difficulties of learning and identifies ways to overcome them. The results of the study can be applied in secondary vocational and higher educational institutions working with foreign students. |
