Annotation:

Reforming the system of preschool education is impossible without studying the experience of previous generations, especially those periods when this system was just beginning to form. This period of national history can be considered the 20–30s of the twentieth century. The article discusses the features of the formation of preschool education in Crimea in the specified historical period. Attention is paid to the consideration of the ethnic issues in the emerging system of preschool education on the peninsula. The study of the process of the formation of the Soviet system of preschool education in Crimea is of particular scientific interest, since it was here almost a hundred years ago that the idea of national preschool and primary education became a reality, which is very topical today. The aim of the article is to analyze the historical experience of the organization of preschool education in Crimea in the 20–30s of the XX century. The main research methods are literary-analytical, historical, statistical, etc. The article names the representatives of the Crimean Tatar intelligentsia, who were directly involved in the development of national preschool education in this historical period. As a result of the study, it can be concluded that the main trends in the development of preschool education in Crimea in the 20-30s. The twentieth century can be considered: an increase in the number of institutions for the education of children of preschool age; creating a system of preschool education based on scientific research and methodological recommendations on the upbringing of young children; the creation and development of national preschool institutions, in particular, the Crimean Tatar, Krymchak, Armenian, aimed at the study of native languages, using the basics of national education.
