FACTORS AND CONDITIONS DETERMINING THE INVESTMENT POLICY OF INSURANCE COMPANIES IN RUSSIA

For the most effective use of financial resources, the company develops its investment policy, which is a General management of actions and decision-making that facilitate the achievement of the organization’s goals. In the context of macroeconomic instability, a fundamental factor for the effective functioning of the insurance company is its well-constructed investment policy. The article provides an overview of the factors and conditions that determine the investment policy of insurance companies in Russia. The review of the legislation regulating activity of insurance companies in the Russian Federation is made. The current state of the insurance industry and the investment opportunities of insurance companies are analyzed. Prospects of development of investment activity of insurance companies are considered, and also the question of development in General of insurance in Russia as the financial instrument for accumulation and saving of assets is touched upon. The authors propose a mechanism for optimizing investment activity, dictated not only by high profitability, but also due diligence. The article is intended for practitioners in the field of investment in the insurance industry. Currently, investment activity is of great importance, and more and more attention is paid to the investment potential of insurance companies. Gradually, optimal regulation is being formed by the state, ensuring the normal functioning of the insurance market. In General, insurance activity is developing in a direction favorable for increasing investment activity. Insurance companies attract highly qualified specialists to create reliable and profitable investment schemes, conduct a comprehensive analysis of its results. Despite the rather unstable economic situation of the country, the profitability of investment activity satisfies insurers. This means that the insurance market is moving in the right direction.
