INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOLOGICAL SPORTS QUALITIES

This study focuses on the need to determine the set of necessary psychological qualities for each sport separately. Currently, most of existing sports do not have a clear set of psychological individual sports qualities that could serve as selection criteria for sports. As a rule, the question of the psychological qualities of an individual sport does not even arise. If for the majority of sports there are no compositions of the individual sports qualities for athletes, then, moreover, their psychological properties are not defined, although they could indicate the expression of a better and faster growth of their sports results. In fact, the pedagogical experience of the coaches to some extent compensates for the lack of these psychological programs. As for the composition of psychological individual sports qualities, mention of them can be found only in some articles on psychological topics, and, therefore, they are known only to coaches who are guided by the use of scientifically confirmed data in their activities. This situation forces practicing psychologists to do the work themselves. The trainer, if he is inclined to scientific and practical search, can also conduct similar research. Thus, the algorithm is necessary for predicting the competitive success of athletes, and at different stages of their training. The article will offer a new method of psychological prediction of the success of athletes’ performances (calculation of the individual index of predictive sports success — IPSS), which will erase the problem of decision-making regarding the selection of future athletes after psychodiagnostics.
