Annotation:

The article is devoted to the formation of reflection, which is becoming one of the key personality features ensuring the effectiveness of doing various types of activities at the present stage of the development of the world economy. The authors justify the expediency of the research due to the existing contradictions between the modern requirements for the development of students’ “learning skills”, where the reflexive skills are the core elements, and the fragmentary formation of reflection. The authors analyze the concept of “reflection” and substantiate the relevance of its formation from primary school age. The article observes the experience of summer language camps implemented on the basis of Pyatigorsk State University as one of the effective ways to develop reflection during a summer vacation of schoolchildren. They emphasize the importance of creating practice-oriented environment during a traditional summer vacation, aimed at overcoming the fragmentary formation of reflection skills. The authors identify the issues of reflexive activity of all participants of the educational process. Special attention is paid to cooperative, communicative, personal and intellectual types of reflection. Various technologies of developing reflection that can be used in the practical activity of teachers are highlighted. Based on the results of the research optimal methods for the development of various types of reflection are systematized.
