The article discusses the conditions, mechanisms and technologies that determine the socio-psychological effectiveness of mediation programs in the educational environment of the school, in the bringing-up of adolescent students. The mediation service is seen as an effective condition for preventing unlawful behavior among the minors. The purpose of the study is aimed at studying the social and personal characteristics of adolescent volunteers — participants of mediation programs. Experimental base: EC No. 4 of Tula. The study involved 30 students of 7 classes at the age of 12—13 years. During the experiment, the following psychological and pedagogical conditions were realized: creating an atmosphere of psychological safety; formation of relations of mutual respect, equality, and tolerance; conducting work focused on formation of cohesion of the school community; development of the positive forms of self-realization of the minors; motivating the minors to sympathy and respect to others, personal participation in good deeds by encouraging volunteerism; mastering of partnership interaction strategies by educators and adolescents. By comparing the results of the ascertaining and control stages of the experiment, it was revealed that adolescents increased their level of empathy, tolerance, sociability, and decreased the level of conflict. The forms of implementation of the adolescent education program in mediative technology are discussions, mini-lectures, classes with training elements, business and role-playing games, and modeling of problem situations. Preparation of adolescents for work in the school reconciliation service will be effective if the psychological characteristics of adolescents needed to work in the school reconciliation service are diagnosed; a program for training adolescents to work in the school reconciliation service has been implemented; recommendations on preparation of adolescents for work in the school reconciliation service have been developed.
