DIGITAL CULTURE IN MODERN EDUCATION

The article focuses on the importance of digital culture in modern education. Education is one of the main factors in the development of digital culture, as well as an indicator of the level of intellectual development of a person, their material and spiritual needs. Modern education using digital technologies opens up opportunities for learning at any convenient time, drawing up an individual educational route, continuing education, transition from the level of the consumer of electronic resources to the level of the creator. The regulatory documents adopted by the Government of the Russian Federation, which served as an impetus for the development of digital culture in our country and the digitalization of education, are considered. The features and problems of the formation of the digital culture of the teacher and students in modern education are revealed. The definition of digital literacy is given. Digital culture determines a special type of literacy and competency. The article studies the data on the use of ICT in educational organizations, considers the main indicators of telecommunication infrastructure in the regions of Russia, and provides a comparative analysis of the digital literacy index, the index of digital competencies of school teachers, university teachers, and students. Recommendations for solving the identified problems of digital culture in modern education and for creating a digital educational space are proposed. Digital culture and digital literacy are considered not only as the possession of the tools of modern information technologies, but also as understanding of how to properly position yourself in the information space and what boundaries not to cross in this sphere, i.e. to observe digital ethics. The materials on digital literacy of teachers, university teachers and all categories of students are analyzed and summarized, and the definition of information literacy is given. The ways of solving the problems of digital culture development in modern education are proposed.
