The education system is operating under a high degree of uncertainty. The modern world imposes more and more new requirements on university graduates, and not so much professional skills as so-called soft skills — flexible skills — are coming to the fore. At the same time, the educational system has long been trying to implement an individual approach to learning, taking into account the specifics of students. This approach is implemented in the format of individual educational routes and trajectories. However, in practice, the construction of individual educational routes associated with the formation of soft skills has not yet been encountered. The article discusses the experience of Yugra State University, where the experience of building an individual educational route for the formation of soft skills is realized, based on their preliminary diagnosis. First-year students come to the university not only with different levels of basic training, but also with different levels of soft skills formation. In the process of studying at a university, soft skills develop in one way or another, but their formation is not systematic, chaotic. The experience of Yugra State University demonstrates the ability to manage this process. In turn, this makes it clear what competencies a university graduate will have, which presents an advantage in the labor market, since it is the formation of such skills as systems thinking, critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, collaboration, emotional intelligence that increases the competitiveness of the graduate in the market. and provides an opportunity not only for successful employment, but also for further career success.
