META-SUBJECT COMPETENCIES OF TEACHERS: EMPIRICAL RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Annotation:

The ideas of the presented research are based on the competence approach as a key factor in the functioning of the modern system of continuing professional education. The requirements of the federal state educational standard in the field of the formation of meta-subject and personal educational results of students and the provisions of the professional standard of a teacher determine a set of requests to a modern teacher related to his willingness and ability to work in the supra-subject aspect, to solve problems that go beyond individual academic disciplines. The practice of working with teaching teams clearly indicates a large number of difficulties experienced by teachers when solving professional tasks of such a plan. The publication reflects the author’s experience of working with teachers in the organization of innovative activities of educational institutions and the design of professional development programs for teachers. The materials of the article reflect the results of an independent empirical study of the set of professional pedagogical competencies of a meta-subject nature, which are key in the modern practice of continuing professional education. Based on the teachers’ self-assessment of their own theoretical training and the formation of a number of professional skills that meet the requirements of educational and professional standards, an analysis of the content and level of formation of methodological, technological, research, information and communication, as well as of motivational, communicative, correctional and developmental competencies is presented. The basic components of these competencies are analyzed in accordance with the indicators characterizing their key content; the diagnosed resource and deficit areas in each of the listed competencies are identified. Conclusions are drawn about possible directions for improving the practice of developing the professional qualifications of teachers. The article contributes to the understanding of the modern features of the development of meta-subject professional competencies of teachers and possible lines of their transformation, taking into account the current situation.
