The article discusses the main characteristics of the infocartographic method of visualizing educational information by means of graphics, or, in other words, visualizing information by creating a graphic image in the form of a grapheme. The proposed method is the main component of the informationcartographic approach in the professional training of bachelors in the field of “Tourism”. The approach contains the underutilized potential of activating and forming spatialvisual thinking through the development of the right-hemispheric mental activity of students by means of mastering the language of visualization of educational information, its analysis, generalization, folding, which is so necessary for the acquisition of professional competence of specialists related to geospace as an arena of future activity. The relevance of the formation of spatialvisual thinking of students in the modern Russian educational realities of higher education, involving innovative “screen” visualized sources of information, the use and development of distance educational platforms. The theoretical and practice-oriented essence of the integrative approach to the harmonious combination of theory and practice of visualization of educational information is revealed on the idea that the impact of the method on the subject constitutes the content of the method of cognition, which further specializes in different types of such. At the same time, the latent features of figurative thinking of each student of the visualization language are revealed. The list of pedagogical characteristics of the method, revealing its versatile essence, prospects, efficiency in the formation of spatial figurative-graphic skills, is given. A dynamic change in the structure of a spatial image created on a different graphic basis, depending on the content of a graphic task, has been studied. The meta-subjectness of the ability to visualize educational information was revealed, since any graphic image (diagrams, formulas, cartograms, conventional signs, graphemes, etc.) can be used in almost all academic disciplines. |
