The article complements the research on the rhetorical specifics of the communicative behavior of interlocutors in oral polemic discourse and the methodology of teaching effective polemic communication in a non-linguistic university. The subject of consideration is the elements of the system of teaching the art of business dispute to students of non-linguistic universities. The author describes the stages of systematic work on the formation of polemical skills (lectures, practical classes), reveals some techniques for creating a positive speech microclimate and partner communication. The logic of speech utterance is an important component of the polemic strategy. The outcome of the dispute depends on the alternation of the sequence of speech fragments. In practical classes at the university, when conducting linguistic experiments, students have the opportunity to test different variants of proof. This helps to develop their communication skills, critical thinking, and business dispute culture. The article presents some speech formulas that are a universal language means of conducting polemics, which are classified according to their content. Methodological methods of work on the development of polemical skills are also subject to consideration: the construction of a speech statement on a pre-selected topic; the use of parables, quotes, statements, etc.as an organizational beginning of an educational discussion; the illustration of fragments of literary texts, audio and video materials; the motivation for “spontaneous” public detailed speech of students; participation in polemical forms of business communication (discussion, dispute, polemic, debate, argument). The author comes to the conclusion that the formation of a culture of business dispute among students of non-linguistic universities is facilitated by methodological tools, organizational forms of work, the creation of special conditions in which students manifest themselves in a variety of ways, use a variety of language tools and techniques. |
