The article presents the authors’ point of view on the visualization of educational information as a concept containing a second graphic language of communication, teaching and research (after verbal), the possession of which qualitatively improves professional training in higher education. A modern approach to the visualization of information that has passed the “methodical path” from visibility to visualization is presented. The main directions of using computer visualization in secondary and higher professional education are considered. A review of the literature shows that the main areas of application of computer visualization are primarily computational sciences: computer science, design, infographics, advertising, architecture and art, philosophy and others. The visualization language developed by us by means of graphification is based on an information-cartographic approach, has a universal metametodic character, exists both within computer technologies and beyond. It is primarily used in specialties related to geospace, its graphical modeling and management (geography, geoecology, ecology, tourism, nature management, nature conservation and others). The process of reducing verbal information is similar to cartographic generalization, (the essence of which is to highlight the main thing and generalize the details). The construction of graphemes of varying degrees of complexity, respectively, is based on the doctrine of conventional signs, the anthropological approach to modeling is carried out by scaling, and graphical modeling has been known for centuries and, according to the apt expression of N. N. Baransky, “the map is the language of geography”. The article discusses the concept of professional competence in higher pedagogical education, put forward by the RAE academician A. P. Tryapitsyna. The article examines universal, general professional and professional competences related to graphization. Thus, conceptual and visual thinking in the practice of teaching are in constant interaction, and the possession of the visualization language testifies to the high-quality professional competence of the graduate. |
