The article deals with new approaches to the training of students for intercultural interaction, taking into account the influence of the information dimension on the essential characteristics of the multicultural multilingual world and the vital activity of modern man, with its both creative and destructive effects. In this regard, the need for a linguo-didactic comprehension of the educational construct “information-strategic readiness of the individual for intercultural interaction” is determined, which complements the existing competence model of the subject of intercultural interaction within the framework of intercultural language education. The subject of the study is linguo-didactic practices aimed at mastering information and cognitive activity by students, intentionally conditioned by the problem of achieving intercultural dialogue. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the significance of the formation of students’ information-strategic readiness for intercultural interaction through the specific organization of linguo-didactic practices in the educational activities of a language university. The use of methods of theoretical and empirical analysis of linguo-didactic research made it possible to substantiate the need for the purposeful formation of information and cognitive strategies for constructing an information space of acceptable conceptual and semantic coordination of native and other cultures. Results of the study: the description of the educational construct “information-strategic readiness of the individual for intercultural interaction” is presented, the actualizers of which are information and cognitive strategies, as well as the characteristics of goal-conditioned linguo-didactic practices. The results of this study can be used in the system of intercultural language education and be of scientific and applied interest for teachers in the system of co-studying languages and cultures. As a direction for future research, the concept of forming students’ information-strategic readiness for intercultural interaction is outlined |
