THE ADVANTAGES OF THE MULTICULTURAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY

Active discussions about the transformation of the educational process require new approaches to the formation of a student’s civic identity. One of the goals of the state program “Development of Education” is the upbringing of a socially responsible personality, which is formed on the basis of the cultural traditions of the Russian people and the spiritual and moral values of the peoples of Russia. The established state priorities have determined the purpose of this article, which is to substantiate the advantages of the multicultural environment of the university, capable of forming a student’s civic identity. The research methodology is based on the application of general scientific methods: description, analysis and formalization. The article analyzes the advantages of the multicultural environment of the university, formulates conclusions confirming the need to study and accept different cultures, and determines the importance of equal conditions for interaction of all students. The results of the work are clarification of the concept of multicultural environment of the university and highlighting its advantages. Conclusions and suggestions can be used in the educational process and research work.
