DEVELOPING A CULTURE OF BUILDING TRUST WITH YOUNG PEOPLE AMONG POLICE OFFICERS

The article analyzes the expediency of raising the status of police officers in public relations. The importance of developing a culture of building trusting relationships between law enforcement officials and young people is emphasized. The goal of the work is set, which involves a description of the directions for the development of a culture of building trusting relationships with young people among police officers. The data of sociological studies aimed at monitoring the attitude of citizens to the professional activities of police officers are given. It is noted that the level of trust is satisfactory and needs to be improved. The scientific works performed in this segment are analyzed. It is emphasized that young people’s trust in police officers is undermined by the influence of the media, data on the Internet or their own negative experience. Measures are proposed to develop a culture of building trusting relationships with young people among police officers. The expediency of using the opportunities of intra-organizational training and advanced training is stated. Pedagogical solutions include: holding quarterly internal organizational seminars for police officers, which discuss the prevention of negative social phenomena among young people and the role of police officers in this activity; implementation of webinars for representatives of law enforcement activities through the efforts of specialists from advanced training institutions on issues of interaction with vulnerable categories of youth; interaction of police officers with youth associations, volunteer organizations; building partnerships between police officers and social and psychological services to help young people in difficult life situations. The conclusion is made about the need to apply the proposed solutions in police units and advanced training institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
