ANALYSIS OF POPULATION ENGAGEMENT IN DIFFERENT SPORTS IN THE FEDERAL DISTRICTS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The purpose of the study is to analyze the indicators of the involvement of the population in sports and the provision of the process of sports training with human resources in different regions of the Russian Federation according to the statistical reports of the 1FK form (approved by Rosstat order No. 172 of March 27, 2019) as of 2022. The following methods were applied in the study: theoretical analysis and generalization of data from scientific and methodological literature, analysis of statistical reports of the 1FK form for 2022 of the regions of the Russian Federation, comparison, generalization, structuring, analysis and synthesis. The study was conducted on the basis of the Siberian State University of Physical Culture and Sports as part of the implementation of the state assignment on the topic “Development of a standard model for the provision of sports and recreation services by non-governmental organizations, including the procedure for monitoring their quality and methodological recommendations for their implementation” (2023). To solve the research problems, reports for 2022 of the following federal districts of the Russian Federation were analyzed: Central, Far Eastern, Volga, Northwestern, North Caucasian, Siberian, Urals, and Southern Federal Districts. In each federal district, a selective analysis was carried out on the example of at least three regions. The data were summarized and analyzed. In addition to the analysis of the absolute values of the indicators of the population involvement in sports activities (the number of people of different ages and gender), indicators were calculated that characterize the percentage of representatives of different sports in the total number of those involved and other relative values. The age-sex and quantitative structure of indicators of the population involvement in sports in the regions of the Russian Federation is revealed. The most popular sports in different regions of the Russian Federation are determined. Statistical information about the staffing of the process of sports training in the regions of the Russian Federation is summarized. The information obtained can serve as a basis for detailed analytical reviews on the problems of ensuring the process of sports training in the Russian Federation. The information can be used to compare data from different years, identify regional features of the process of sports training in the Russian Federation, and substantiate further ways to improve the development of sports in the Russian Federation.
