Professionals believe that the quality of teaching is associated with the use of digital technologies. The study is devoted to the analysis of the experience of using digital technology in the practice of physical education (PE) of students. The information is collected in the databases of scientific data storage: Web of Science Core Collection, Scopus (Elsevier), PubMed Central (NCBI), Springer, and by a questionnaire of PE teachers. Up-to-date data has been collected containing the findings of original scientific works, with the participation of specific focus groups (university students and PE teachers). PE teachers (n = 102) from several universities filled out a mini-questionnaire with questions about experience of using digital technologies in teaching PE. Data analysis has shown that foreign experts consider flipped learning, the use of popular social networks (WhatsApp, Facebook, Viber) and mobile applications, video-modeling and omnidirectional circular image (360° video) to be the most effective digital technologies. Russian PE teachers, in most cases, use the potential of popular social networks and various multimedia in teaching PE. Much less often, PE teachers of domestic universities use flipped learning technologies in PE classes and practically do not use the possibilities of panoramic video (360° video), which significantly limits the potential of using digital technologies in PE classes of students studying in Russian universities. PE teachers should pay attention to the possibilities of using these digital technologies in teaching PE to improve the cognitive component of learning, increase the level of students’ motivation in PE classes and increase the overall level of motor activity of youth. |
