JOB DUTIES OF THE UPBRINGING ADVISOR

Currently, it can be noted that upbringing is one of the most relevant and significant topics that requires constant development and improvement. Upbringing advisors play an important role in this process, helping parents choose the right approach to raising their children. An upbringing advisor is a highly qualified specialist who helps parents and teachers effectively form the personality of a student. He takes care of the child`s development, creates favorable conditions for his growth and prepares him for future success. The job responsibilities of such a specialist represent an integrated approach to the development of the student’s personality, which includes planning and conducting individual consultations, analyzing the current state of the organization of upbringing, developing methodological materials and much more. The advisor’s job responsibilities are determined by the specifics of the institution in which he works. However, the main tasks are: creating a favorable psychological climate for students; organizing group work and activities aimed at developing skills and abilities; assistance in choosing a profession or direction of study; advising parents on parenting issues. Most people are not sufficiently aware of the role of an upbringing counselor. The research methodology is based on the application of general scientific methods, including analysis and description. The article analyzes the duties of the upbringing advisor, formulates conclusions confirming the need to establish uniform standards in relation to the duties of the advisor. The conclusions and suggestions formulated in the work can be used in educational activities.
