RESEARCH TRAINING OF SCHOOLCHILDREN AS A FACTOR IN REDUCING SCHOOL ANXIETY

Annotation:

Comprehension of the connection between the implemented type of education and the emergence of school anxiety is relevant for didactic research and teaching practice. Research training is to be considered as a personality-oriented training in which a student’s search for new knowledge is endowed with personal meaning and turns into a process of creative self-development. The research aim was to study the possibilities of research training to reduce school anxiety. The authors put forward a suggestion that research training is health saving, as it is aimed at the creative self-realization of the student’s personality. The study used expert assessment of the main result of research training research potential of schoolchildren, measurements of school anxiety, the method of numerical mathematical modeling to find the maximum number of correlations between indicators of research potential of schoolchildren and factors of school anxiety, modeling experiment. As a result of the study, a sequence of decreasing in strength of negative influence of school anxiety factors on schoolchildren’s learning ability is built, indicators of schoolchildren’s research potential, which are most affected by negative influence of school anxiety, are singled out, the strongest influence of fear of self-expression on schoolchildren’s research potential is shown, a close relationship of schoolchildren’s emotional well-being with the operational assessment of barriers arising in the course of cognition is established. The presented pedagogical conditions for reducing school anxiety in research training could be used to develop pedagogical technologies of search learning that provide creative self-realization of schoolchildren. Further research into the possibilities of research training to reduce school anxiety could be related to the assessment of the emotional well-being of schoolchildren and measures to implement the components of the research potential of schoolchildren in various educational situations.
