DIGITALIZATION OF ECONOMIC ACTIVITY AND PRECARIZATION OF LABOR

The article presents the results of research on the modification of labor relations under the influence of digitalization processes. The development of the digital economy has an alternative and complementary impact on the employment of labor in all spheres of the economy, it is expected that digital technologies are not only able to replace a significant part of the labor force in human economic activity, but also to create new jobs, multiplying the effect of sustainability and competitiveness. All this taken together creates opportunities for the development of precarization by introducing conditions of instability, homogeneity and developing elements of alienation of labor. In fact, we are at the origins of the birth of a new class – the precariat. Within the framework of this study, the dynamics of employment in the field of information and communication technologies is demonstrated as a possible source of new requirements for professional competences adequate to applied information solutions. In relation to modern trends, the influence of digitalization on the formation of the main directions in the employment structure and labor shedding is shown. It is revealed that the main trend of digital solutions is aimed at the development of Internet access capabilities, using the example of the agro-food complex, it is shown that a sufficiently large number of information technologies demanded here cannot be brought to the implementation stage. This mainly concerns production management systems, interaction with stakeholders, and optimization of business processes. The main factors of increasing the level of adaptation to the requirements of the modern digital economy are considered, among which the leading positions are occupied by people’s dissatisfaction with the routine of operations performed, instability and volatility of labor relations. It is proposed to consider the process of digitalization in the agro-industrial complex not just as part of the federal strategy, but as a system of measures aimed at qualitative modification of the workforce.
