The article deals with the problems of dairy farming on the example of the Samara region. Dairy products rank third in the structure of food retail sales. In addition, animal husbandry consumes a significant amount of crop production and thus acts as a driving force for the development of the agricultural sector as a whole. In the context of import substitution, the basis for ensuring the food security of the region is to increase the efficiency of dairy cattle breeding. Self-sufficiency of the region with its own milk should be considered not only a socially significant, but as a priority issue. At the moment, the region`s milk production covers only half of the need for it. The dairy market of the Samara region has great potential for development. In order to effectively develop dairy farming in the region, various mechanisms of state support are used. The relevance of the study lies in the novelty and underestimation of the use of commodity lending in the agro-industrial complex as an instrument of state support. The practice of using commodity lending in the agro-industrial complex can be observed on the territory of the Samara and Tambov regions. The current state of commodity lending to the agro-industrial complex is in many ways a prerequisite for the development of the economy and an integral element of the country’s economic growth. It is with the help of commodity lending that one can try to solve the problem of milk shortage. In the framework of commodity crediting borrowed funds are commercial and pedigree livestock, which is provided to agricultural producers under the terms of the loan agreement. The resulting commercial and breeding cattle serve to form and renew the herd. The article proposes the use of commodity lending in the agro-industrial complex as a tool of state support to solve the problem of milk shortage. Two options for calculating the closure of the milk shortage are proposed (on the example of the Samara region), the initial data are taken from official open sources. |
