Annotation:

The article deals with the problems of formation of students’ professional self-determination. The aim of the study is to identify the pedagogical conditions for the formation of students’ professional self-determination in the social partnership “school-youth center-university”. The authors note that in the process of formation of students’ professional self-determination it is important to rely on two components: intrapersonal component and pedagogical conditions of the educational environment. In the first one, the work is aimed at the development of personal qualities, professional self-discovery, search for ways of professional development, creating an attitude to a certain profession. In the second one, career guidance activities conducted in the educational environment of the school with the participation of social partners give positive results. The students study academic subjects in depth, actively participate in regional and national events or competitions in accordance with their profile. The article describes directions of work of the social partnership project “school — youth center — university”. Organization and implementation of such projects of social interaction effectively affects the process of formation of students’ professional self-determination. Thus, each educational organization purposefully works on the formation of solid basic knowledge and skills that will be necessary for the development of high school students. And the pedagogical conditions created at these sites influence the responsible conscious choice of future profession. At school, students gain initial practical experience when they become mentors for primary and sponsored classes. At the youth center, the work is aimed at practice-oriented support through counseling and project activities. Learners acquire skills to work as a camp counselor, supplementary education teacher, and teacher-organizer. The activities of the Small Psycho-Pedagogical Academy are presented in more detail, where students learn the basics of pedagogy and psychology, study the forms and content of camp counselor activities, learn about the specifics of using digital technologies in teaching, and learn to develop individual projects.
