The article is devoted to one of the possibilities of using artificial intelligence in the educational process, namely the use of chatbots. Currently, chatbots are actively used in organizing the educational process, accelerating the exchange of information, increasing the efficiency of planning and organizing work. It is no secret that during their studies, students, when performing laboratory work or projects, use information obtained from various sources, including software developer sites, programmer forums, instant messengers, including various chat bots. At the same time, the capabilities of chatbots are often used “incorrectly”, without critical processing of the results obtained. The authors of the article tried to use one of the chatbots to solve applied programming problems. Object Pascal was chosen as the programming environment as the most convenient tool for learning the basics of algorithmization and programming. The chatbot was asked to solve a task, the software implementation of which was already available to the authors of the publication. The obtained results of the program codes written by the chatbot did not fully meet the conditions of the tasks. At this stage of development, chatbots cannot completely replace humans. Students who took advantage of such proposals became convinced that without independent study of algorithmization and programming it is not possible to obtain a program code that fully complies with the conditions of the original problem. No chatbot could provide the correct solution. It is worth noting that for routine, fairly well-functioning operations, chatbots are certainly useful and can replace human labor. But in more complex tasks they cannot yet compete with the human brain. |
