Scientific communication is a very relevant and socially demanded object of research in various fields. It participates in the dissemination of relevant information and creates conditions for effective scientific contacts, and it also participates in the formation of a holistic perception of science in a social context, since it is one of the most effective means of popularizing the results of scientific activity in society. In modern conditions, the professional activity of a scientist becomes impossible without international scientific communication. Modern relations in the international community are characterized by broad professional and scientific cooperation, active information exchange, integration processes in the educational space. In the logic of these relations, the foreign language training of students focused on research activities means of intercultural communication for the implementation of research activities of students. The purpose of the article is to show how to use English as a means of intercultural communication for the implementation of research activities of students. Therefore, we will also talk about the development of students’ skills in untranslated reading of scientific and popular science literature: extracting the main information from the text according to a certain algorithm, as well as its subsequent generalization in oral annotation and abstract form. The problem of preparing students to speak at the conference is also very relevant. The article includes recommendations for teaching students this type of activity. The issues related to the involvement of students in written scientific communication will not be ignored: their ability to write scientific articles in English in accordance with international standards. |
