USE OF THE SURVEILLANCE METHOD IN PROFILING ILLICIT DRUG TRAFFICKING IN TRANSPORT

The article is devoted to the surveillance method in profiling techniques when combating drug trafficking at transport infrastructure facilities. Profiling of transport infrastructure facilities is an important tool for ensuring public safety, including for the purpose of identifying illegal actions aimed at drug trafficking. Profiling is a science that studies people’s behavior in various situations, their reactions to various stimuli and factors. Surveillance is one of the main profiling methods, which allows you to obtain information about a person’s behavior, their reactions to various situations, as well as his personal characteristics. Using surveillance as a profiling method can improve the accuracy and efficiency of transport infrastructure analysis, which in turn can lead to improved safety and efficiency of transport systems. Surveillance is an effective method of profiling at transport infrastructure facilities and can be used not only as part of combating drug trafficking at transport infrastructure facilities, but also as a tool for ensuring the safety and efficient operation of transport systems in general. An analysis of legal practice shows that it is transport networks that are most often used in drug trafficking, and therefore it is important to actively implement technologies that ensure productive counteraction to drug trafficking at transport infrastructure facilities. The purpose of this article is to develop mechanisms for using the surveillance method in profiling in order to combat drug trafficking. The paper proposes algorithms for the use of surveillance as part of the forensic profiling in transport when combating drug trafficking. It is also concluded that the surveillance method is universal and can be easily adapted as a tool to ensure the safety and efficient operation of transport systems in general.
