In modern realities, small and medium-sized businesses are an integral part of the economy of any region. Due to small and medium-sized enterprises (hereinafter referred to as SMEs), consolidated budget revenues increase, GRP grows, and competitive advantages of the region are created, as well as jobs. The goal of the study is to analyze government support measures for small and medium-sized enterprises and identify the main problems faced by entrepreneurs. Among the main problems, the authors identified such as high administrative and fiscal burden, lack of motivation for further growth and development of SMEs, excessive reporting of business structures, etc. The article, based on a generalization of Russian and foreign scientific sources, identifies the features of the development of SMEs regarding regional development. It was revealed that the infrastructure created in the republic, which contributes to more active development of SMEs, is also important. The organizations considered in the work are included in the infrastructure and the support they provide to small businesses leads to an increase in their number. As the analysis shows, the growth of SMEs mainly falls on fast-paying types of economic activities and those whose services are in demand in the republic. At the same time, it can be stated that SME development is somewhat inertial. To complete the study, the main programs and types of state support in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Buryatia were analyzed. This made it possible to propose an algorithm for assessing the effectiveness of implemented measures. |
